Jonathan Edwards
Jonathan Edwards message and tactics would not be well received by people today. My reasoning for this is because i think it would anger people by the way he preaches. No one wants to hear that there is a place in hell for them. Because of this, some people may convert to a different religion. Others may still get scared like they did when he first preached "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God". Which leads me back to our debate, was he justified in being fired? My answer is both no and yes. No because he does go by what the bible says and he speaks the truth. But, there is no reason to yell at people ans scare the crap out of them. He preached to aggressively and was to blunt. Which is why i think he was justified by getting fired.
